Zabbix<\/strong> is a powerful open-source infrastructure monitoring tool capable of monitoring servers, applications, services, network devices, virtual machines, cloud services, and much more.<\/p>\n

It is often compared to other monitoring solutions such as Nagios<\/strong>, but with a much easier and more straightforward setup process.<\/p>\n

SYSTEM INSTALLATION<\/strong><\/p>\n

wget https:\/\/repo.zabbix.com\/zabbix\/6.0\/ubuntu\/pool\/main\/z\/zabbix-release\/zabbix-release_6.0-1+ubuntu20.04<\/strong>_all.deb\r\nsudo dpkg -i zabbix-release_6.0-1+ubuntu20.04<\/strong>_all.deb\r\nsudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade -y\r\nsudo apt install zabbix-server-mysql zabbix-frontend-php zabbix-apache-conf zabbix-sql-scripts zabbix-agent -y<\/pre>\n
Connect to the MySQL server:<\/p>\n
sudo apt install mysql-server -y\r\nsudo mysql -u root<\/pre>\n
Create the database:<\/p>\n
mysql> create database zabbix_db<\/strong> character set utf8mb4 collate utf8mb4_bin;\r\nmysql> create user zabbix_user<\/strong>@localhost identified by 'STRONGPASSWORD<\/strong>';\r\nmysql> grant all privileges on zabbix_db<\/strong>.* to zabbix_user<\/strong>@localhost;\r\nmysql> flush privileges;\r\nmysql> quit;<\/pre>\n
Import the database schema:<\/p>\n
zcat \/usr\/share\/doc\/zabbix-sql-scripts\/mysql\/server.sql.gz | mysql -uzabbix_user<\/strong> -pSTRONGPASSWORD<\/strong> zabbix_db<\/pre>\n
Restart the services and enable them on boot:<\/p>\n
sudo systemctl restart zabbix-server zabbix-agent apache2\r\nsudo systemctl enable zabbix-server zabbix-agent apache2<\/pre>\n
Get the IP address of the server:<\/p>\n
ip a<\/pre>\n

ZABBIX INSTALLATION<\/strong><\/p>\n
Using the Zabbix server’s IP address, navigate to http:\/\/192.168.1.133\/zabbix<\/strong> (replace with your server’s IP).<\/p>\n
